Special investigator Colton (Colt) Garrett is sent to Pennway to stop a killer who has bodies piling up in the countryside. Pennway county in the state of Montana is found southeast of Billings near the border of Wyoming. The Crow reservation is its neighbor to the east and sports a well-stocked population of rednecks and gentlemen. Montana itself hosts over a million in population spread over almost 240,000 square miles. It would not be hard to get lost in its wilderness or to have someone disappear in these vast spans. Montana claims only 104, but that's just the ones they found.
